“ My girlfriend had the 2 course Prix Fixe menu, good value, starter ok, main good. I had the Gerard Burger which was a little red inside, just how I like steaks, they should ask how you like this really. The interior was great with plenty of room and the front windows were open, good for people watching! Would try the breakfasts next visit. ” Harry ~ 4th Jul 09

“ So many restaurants to choose from in Chester. Rather exhausted by the choice we finally stumbled across this fantastic restaurant. Delicious meals, great atmosphere at reasonable prices - though I agree the wine is a little on the pricey side! Would recommend this place and will go again! ” ~ 8th Jul 08
“ We decided on a spur of the moment to "go local" for a meal and plumped for Chez Gerard. Greeted by friendly and attentive staff, we considered the food was good value and fairly wide ranging choices. Will recommend to friends and plan to revisit. Wine is thought to be pricey. ” ~ 5th Jun 08
“ We went just before Christmas in a small group. Food was very good and the staff were very efficient and friendly. Veggie selection was different to the usual boring offer. I had a Couscous dish which was really tasty. ” ~ 21st Feb 08 ~ 4 Stars
“ We stumbled across Brasserie Chez Gerard on its opening evening. Overall experience was very good, although we did feel the wine was pricey - good French wines can be obtained for reasonable prices and should be included to give customers a broader choice. We will certainly revisit and hope that the standards are maintained. ” ~ 29th Nov 07 ~ 4 Stars
