Go Ape & Delamere Forest
'Go Ape' is an award winning high wire forest adventure course of rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides up to 40 feet up in the trees. Appealing to a wide age range, you are fitted with a climbing harness, given instructions, and then trek from tree to tree high above the forest floor. Set in the beautiful Delamere Forest, Cheshire. Located near to Northwich in Cheshire, the Anderton Boat Lift is one of the greatest monuments to Britain's canal age and known as the "Cathedral of the Canals". Built in 1875 it was the world's first and is currently England's only Boat Lift linking the River Weaver and the Trent & Mersey Canal. Anson Engine Museum
Poynton used to be a thriving mining community. The Anson Engine Museum in Poynton is built on the site of the old Anson Colliery. Engines run most days the museum is open (please check if traveling long distances) with several engines running the second Sunday of every month throughout the season. Opening Times.
