A Western by Action Hero
8pm, £8 (£7concs), Alexander's, Rufus Court
Enter the worlds of an imaginary Western…a celebration of generic heroes, cowboy characters and the failure of the all –American idol.
A Western is a live art production, where the audience will form part of the narrative.

Thursday 25th June 2009
Soapbox Film: Blind Husbands
8pm, £7 (£6 concs), Bishop Lloyd’s Palace, Watergate Row South.
Considered to be one of the most impressive directorial debuts of all time, Erich Von Stroheim’s silent movie Blind Husbands tells the story of a lustful army officer, who sets his cap at the dreamy wife of a rich American whilst on holiday in the South Tyrol. The film will be screened in original Tudor building Bishop Lloyd’s Palace, where the audience will be transported back in time.

The tunnel located at the rear of this high street deli will form the stage for this piece, set on a broken down Tube train.

Soapbox Film: Man on Wire (12A)

On August 7, 1974, Philippe Petit, a French wire walker, juggler and street performer, days shy of his 25th birthday, spent 45 minutes walking, dancing, and lying on a wire illegally rigged between the World Trade Centre's twin towers in New York.
