Chester Summer Music Festival 2009![]() 02 - 18 July 2009 In 2009 the Chester Summer Music Festival explores the voice and music written for the voice, with an exciting programme consisting of 10 evening concerts, 7 lunch time performances, an education programme, a family music day and Saturday’s interactive event the BIG SING. There really is something for everyone. This year's artist in residence is internationally renowned composer Graham Fitkin. Graham will be working with local children and budding composers, as well as performing himself.
