Daisy Pulls It Off. Chester Little Theatre

Chester Little Theatre invites you to step back in time to a more innocent age, where midnight feasts, hockey matches, japes and pranks take centre stage! Welcome to Denise Deegan’s Grangewood School For Girls, a place anyone familiar with the books of Enid Blyton or Angela Brazil will recognise immediately.

All is not well in the idyllic world of Grangewood, as Daisy Meredith, new scholarship pupil, is about to find out. Apart from navigating bullies, new lessons and sports, (including an on stage hockey match!), Daisy also persuades her new best chum Trixie, to help her search for the hidden treasure of Grangewood. Who would have guessed that Daisy would excel in so many areas? Who is the mysterious caretaker figure? Why is the suspicious Russian master also looking for the treasure? And how can Daisy hold her own against the frightful vice captain of the upper fourth, Sybil Burlington?

This gentle parody, performed with skill and enthusiasm by a large cast of Cestrians, will brighten your dark November evening and remind you that a good heart, optimism and friendship should always triumph over jealousy and the forces of evil!

Daisy Pulls It Off can be seen at 7.30pm on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November, then Monday 16 November to Saturday 21 November. Chester Little Theatre is located on Gloucester Street, Newtown, Chester, CH1 3HR.
