Daytime At D' Meltin' Pot
February 2010
If you’re in Chester and need to find somewhere to relax and switch off with a drink and a light bite, look no further. City centre music and dance venue D’ Meltin’ Pot on Watergate Row is now open from 10am-4pm Thursday to Sunday, so you can sit down and chill out, enjoy the music, have some lunch and even take advantage of free Wi-Fi access. D’ Meltin’ Pot’s daytime menu is provided courtesy of Gastro Deli, using fresh produce to offer great home-baked food — even the bread is made from scratch. Customers can choose from sandwiches, paninis, toasties, soup and quiche and round off lunch with a pastry or cake. In keeping with D’ Meltin’ Pot’s roots, Latino and Caribbean music create a relaxed atmosphere, and specialty Caribbean teas and home-made smoothies add further to the tropical flavour, while the licensed bar also has a selection of good wines and beers available. Said proprietor Mike Mitchell: “We want to provide a little oasis in the city centre for anyone who needs a chance to re-charge their batteries, whether they’re taking a break from work or shopping. The new menu offers tasty food at really good prices with some special introductory offers making it even better value, so why not call in and chill out for a while?!” Log on to www.meltinpot.co.uk for more information or call into the club at 31 Watergate Row.
