Peter Turnbull was born in Rock Ferry, Birkenhead and studied in London and Paris, and is now Visiting Professor of Fine Art at the University of Chester and owner of the Art Shop & Watergate Gallery in Chester. Heir to the traditional techniques of the old masters, his meticulously prepared materials enable the creation of a subtle palette of richly subdued tones.
