As part of a free Art's & Craft Day in Davenham, local author Michael R Beddard will launch the second book in his children's book series Tales from Beauty Bank. The story entitled: THE PARCEL is set to have parents and children alike sitting on the edge of their seats with excitement. At 1.30pm the Davenham Players will read extracts from the story which has beautiful illustrations by Cheshire artist/illustrator Rebecca Yoxall. A small but very important Parcel is missing, field mice Rachel, Jack and their Uncle Olivier find it, but will they be able to return it to it's owner in time to save a very important day in the life of Beauty Bank Village? Art's & Crafts 10.00 - 5.00pm Book Launch 1.30pm.

The 5k, annual walk takes entrants past the River Dee and along the ancient City Walls finishing with tea, cakes and light refreshments back at St Mary's Centre. On the Onionring Stage you'll find Cake-Off tasters deliberating over which cake they prefer, at other times you'll find courageous soles taking on the Men Vs Food challenges! Pop into the hall to watch a topchef cooking on stage. Bring a picnic blanket and sit out for the day enjoying live music and beautiful surroundings. Local bands are playing throughout the festival. Mount Pleasant Gardens is holding is Annual Sculpture Exhibition throughout September, we are open 12:00pm to 5:00pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
With growing success, the exhibition is drawing artists in from across the UK to show their work. Resident artist Andrew Worthington, whose runs regular sandstone carving workshop at Mount Pleasant Gardens, will be exhibiting his work.

In the wake of another successful summer music festival Alsager will, this autumn, see the coming together of two finely-honed artistic talents in a fusion of music and art. For on Friday 27th September St Mary Magdalene’s Church hosts a concert by acoustic guitar maestro Gordon Giltrap together with an exhibition of paintings by Alsager wildlife artist David A Finney. This will be a chance to see and hear the fast-fingered fretwork of guitarist Gordon surrounded by David’s fine, detailed portraits of birds and other wildlife in the welcoming atmosphere of this beautiful church.
