River Dee Raft Races

Chester Raft Race

Sadly the 2020 Raft Race has been cancelled - not a huge surprise but we hope to see scenes like these again in 2021. The 2021 Raft Race will be held on Sunday 4th July.

The popular annual raft race on the River Dee. The course starts just upriver of the Royal Chester Rowing Club, across from the Meadows, passing downstream under the pedestrian Suspension Bridge to a finish indicated on the north bank of the river by Recorder’s Steps and just above the weir.
